COURTESY PHOTO The Cape Coral Animal Shelter is excited to announce its 5th annual online auction, taking place virtually from Aug. 17-21, 2026. As the shelter s largest annual fundraiser, the event raises critical funds to support the care, medical treatment, enrichment, and adoption of homeless animals throughout Southwest Florida. After a record-breaking year in which the online auction raised more than $65,000, the shelter is aiming even higher in 2025 and is calling on local businesses, organizations, and community members to donate auction items and experiences. The auction is one of the shelter s most important fundraising efforts, with every dollar directly benefiting the animals in its care. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our supporters who helped make last year s auction such a tremendous success, said Liz McCauley, executive director of the Cape Coral Animal Shelter. This event is our largest fundraiser of the year, and we are hoping to surpass the $65,0
