The parent company of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is seeking legal action against My Chemical Romance after the band performed alongside dancers in costumes resembling the iconic cheerleading team’s uniforms this week. Pro Silver Star, which owns the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders brand, filed a motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction Friday in District Court in Dallas County, Texas, to bar the alternative rock band from using the costumes on stage. My Chemical Romance, best known for its 2000s hits “Teenagers” and “Welcome to the Black Parade,” performed Wednesday at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles with dancers wearing outfits that appeared nearly identical to the squad s iconic white and blue outfits, according to the court filing. The dancers carried what appeared to be rifles and engaged in a staged firefight, “only to be depicted being shot,” the filing states.
