Deputies identify Gustavo Ormo as man found dead in Weston pool

On Monday, Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies announced that the man found dead in a pool in Weston had been identified as Gustavo Ormo.BSO deputies reported responding to Ormo’s house at about 9 a.m. on Friday, along Quail Roost Drive, near Hunter’s Point Boulevard. “The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office,” Gerdy St. Louis, a BSO spokesperson, wrote in a statement on Monday about Ormo. People described Ormo, better known as “Gus,” as a piano virtuoso, a singer, and a songwriter who was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela.
