An elderly woman walking her dog was struck by a vehicle in unincorporated Boytnon Beach Monday afternoon. (Apple Maps). BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman walking her dog mid-day Monday was struck and critically injured by a vehicle. It happened around 12:30 p.m. near 45th Street and Limetree Boulevard. That’s unincorporated Boynton Beach. Accoridng to initial information provided to BocaNewsNow.com, the woman — believed to be in her 70s — was struck by a vehicle traveling at roughly 15-20 miles per hour. The woman was knocked unconscious. She regained consciousness but was determined to have sustained multiple injuries. She was rushed to Delray Medical Center. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. It is believed the driver of the striking vehicle remained on the scene. It’s unclear if the elderly woman was walking her dog on the street or on the shoulder. It’s also unclear if the vehicle was on the road or on the shoulder at the time of the incident. The scene is just east of Military Trail and south of Boynton Beach Boulevard.
