In the mayoral race, the two candidates facing off are incumbent Mayor Danise “DeeDee” Henriquez and District II City Commissioner Sam Kaufman. Mayor Henriquez was once the county’s longtime tax collector, while Kaufman was an attorney who has been on the commission for a decade.
